We are proud to have supported Healing Waves, who offer ocean therapy through guided surf, paddle and flow sessions, by providing funding towards a specially adapted surfboard in late 2017.
The surfboard enables islanders with a disability, both neurological and physical, to enjoy surfing and experience the healing benefits of being in the water.
Last year we ran a series of free training courses for outdoor activity providers in Jersey.
Our attendees are helping to create an Island that is accessible to all and obtained a deeper understanding of disability matters and confidence to encourage more people with disabilities to participate in outdoor adventure.
We want to remove the barriers that limit disabled islanders and inspire changes that create a more inclusive community – one where diversity is celebrated and everyone can contribute their unique skills and gifts.
